About Us

Hello! we’re Mara and Blake, the founders of Yellowstone Peaks Hotel.

What began as a chance meeting in Argentina turned into a shared life built around travel, creativity, and hospitality. Years later, with two kids in tow and a big idea in mind, we found ourselves in Island Park, Idaho, dreaming of creating a place that felt both adventurous and deeply restful, a modern retreat surrounded by wild beauty.

We designed and built Yellowstone Peaks Hotel from the ground up, pouring ourselves into every detail. Inspired by Scandinavian simplicity and the rugged landscape of Yellowstone, we wanted each cabin to feel intentional: warm, minimal, and connected to nature without sacrificing comfort.

Building the hotel was equal parts dream and challenge, long days, unexpected setbacks, and countless decisions, but it strengthened our belief in what hospitality can be: personal, thoughtful, and rooted in genuine connection.

Today, we’re honored to welcome guests from around the world to experience this special corner of Idaho, to slow down, explore, gather, and create lasting memories. Yellowstone Peaks isn’t just a hotel to us; it’s a reflection of our family, our journey, and the life we’ve built together.
